TECNO Unveils Winners of 2025 ‘Shot On CAMON’ Global Photography Contest

Smartphone giant TECNO has announced the winners of its 2025 Shot On CAMON Photography Contest, spotlighting raw creativity and authentic storytelling from emerging markets around the world.

This year’s theme—“Capturing the Pulse, the Bond and the Motion of Life”—drew over 10,000 entries from 56 countries, cementing the contest’s reputation as one of the most inclusive mobile photography platforms globally.

Organized in partnership with Amateur Photographer magazine, the contest empowers creators to share human experiences through visual storytelling powered by TECNO’s CAMON series. It also reflects TECNO’s commitment to digital creativity and cultural diversity.

The contest awarded a total prize pool of $37,000. The TECNO Photography Master received the Grand Prize of $10,000. Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners were awarded $5,000, $3,000, and $1,000 respectively. Ten additional participants received the TECNO FriendPrize, each taking home a CAMON 40 Premier 5G smartphone.

This year’s TECNO Photography Master title went to Nigerian photographer @micheal_the_colorist for his work titled “High Spirits.” Captured using the CAMON 40 Pro, the photograph freezes a group of friend’s mid-air. Their bright clothes and open arms form striking geometry against a vivid blue sky—a visual celebration of youth, colour, and freedom.

In the Snap Every Pulse category, the Gold Prize went to an evocative image of a young Nigerian girl running through a dusty sunlit street, her white dress swirling like a fleeting melody. The Silver Prize featured four dogs perched on a low wall, their playful postures echoing the natural rhythm of daily life. The Bronze Prize depicted the age-old cadence of grain pounding and sifting, symbols of enduring community labour.

For the Snap All Fleeting Bonds category, the Gold Prize portrayed children joyfully playing in the mud, radiating pure friendship and laughter. The Silver Prize captured kids chasing one another along a Malaysian beach at sunset, glowing in golden light. The Bronze Prize showed a boy caring tenderly for a goat on parched land—a simple yet powerful testament to compassion.

In Snap Any Motion, the Gold Prize was awarded to a stunning image of a sepak takraw player soaring through the air at dusk, his silhouette merging strength with grace. The Silver Prize went to a cyclist mid-stunt beneath shifting clouds, while the Bronze Prize showcased a dancer spinning in a red dress amidst city architecture, her movement mirrored in the surrounding reflections.

TECNO revealed that all winners will embark on an exclusive London Photography Tour later in 2025. The trip will allow participants to exchange ideas, network with global creatives, and capture the vibrant rhythm of one of the world’s most photographed cities. Their winning works will also be featured in TECNO’s annual photo book, global exhibitions, and across the brand’s official online platforms to inspire even more creators.
