President Tinubu Departs for Türkiye on State Visit
President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to leave Abuja for a state visit to the Republic of Türkiye. The trip, announced by Presidential Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga, is intended to strengthen diplomatic relations and expand cooperation in security, education, social development, innovation, aviation, finance, and trade.
The agenda includes high-level bilateral meetings, signing of memoranda of understanding, and a business forum for investors from both nations. Senior members of the President’s entourage include key ministers, the National Security Adviser, and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency.
The Presidency confirmed that Tinubu will return at the conclusion of the visit, though no specific date was provided. The visit follows a prior state visit to Nigeria by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in October 2021.
