Kano Assembly Speaker, 21 Lawmakers Defect From NNPP
The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and 21 other lawmakers have resigned from the New Nigeria People’s Party in Kano State.
The lawmakers announced their defection in alignment with the political movement of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, reaffirming their loyalty to his administration.
A statement released by the Assembly confirmed that a total of 22 members were involved in the defection, including the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, majority leaders, and several committee heads.
