Niger Govt postpones ongoing tour to mourn late Katcha LG Chairman

Worried by the suddend death of Katcha local government Chairman, Alhaji Danlami Abdullahi Dakuger on Tuesday 9th December, the state governor Mohammed Umar Bago has suspended it’s tour of Zone “B” to mourn him.
The State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Binta Mamman made known to newsmen on Thursday in Minna.
She noted that the Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago said the tour is now postponed till January, 2025 as a sign of respect.
The statement also read in part that: Governor Bago has declared that the Fidda’u prayer which will be handled by the Director General Religious Affairs, Dr. Umar Farooq Abdullahi will come up on tomorrow (Friday) after Jumaat at the Minna Central mosque.
It should be recalled that the Governor had toured local government areas in Zones A and C where he inspected ongoing projects across the state.
The Governor prayed Allah to make Aljanna Firdausi the final abode of the deceased and comfort the late Chairman’s family and also the people of Katcha.
