Abba Atiku Joins APC, Predicts Tinubu’s Victory in 2027

Abba Atiku, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserting that no political party will be able to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

The announcement came after Abba collected his APC membership card at Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State. Speaking to journalists in Yola, he said his decision to join the ruling party stemmed from a desire to actively contribute to the ongoing economic and human development reforms under the Tinubu administration.

“I want to make it abundantly clear that no person or political organization can prevent President Tinubu from returning to Aso Rock in 2027,” Abba said. He praised the president for his merit-based appointments, emphasizing that Tinubu does not favor people based on tribe or religion.

Abba further noted that the infrastructural growth, investment in human capital, and overall developmental strides of the administration motivated his decision. “The president requires our collective support to continue the remarkable progress. Nigerians, regardless of their party affiliations, should mobilize to back the president,” he said.

Currently, Abba’s elder brother, Adamu Atiku, remains a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and serves as Commissioner for Works and Energy Development in Adamawa State under Governor Ahmadu Fintiri. Reports suggest that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is considering a presidential bid on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), though none of his children are presently affiliated with the party.

Security personnel were reportedly deployed around the venue to ensure safety during the membership registration event.
