The Niger South Students Leadership Forum has honoured senatorial aspirant, Alhaji Mohammed Ndarani (SAN), with the Students Support Award in recognition of his contributions to students’ academic, personal and professional development.

The award was presented in Bida by the Senate President of the National Association of Niger State Students (NANISS), Niger South Zone, Comrade Lakpene Bida, who said the honour was in appreciation of Ndarani’s sustained commitment to empowering students and creating opportunities for their advancement.

According to him, the legal practitioner’s interventions have positively impacted many students across the zone, describing him as a source of inspiration and leadership to the student community.

“Your tireless efforts to empower students and provide them with opportunities for success have made a significant impact. We celebrate your dedication to the well-being and development of students in Niger South,” he said.

Lakpene also commended Ndarani for his recent donation of N100 million to support students and women empowerment initiatives in Niger South, noting that the gesture had helped ease financial challenges faced by many students, particularly those from less privileged backgrounds.

He urged other well-meaning individuals in society to emulate such philanthropic efforts to reduce the burden on parents and support access to education.

The award, presented on behalf of the forum, was received by Engr. Mohammed Dagachi Etsugaie, Director-General of the Ndarani SAN Senatorial Organisation, in Bida.

In his response, Etsugaie expressed appreciation for the recognition, stating that it would further motivate Ndarani to intensify efforts toward supporting students and youths.

He assured the students of the aspirant’s commitment to policies and initiatives that would promote employment opportunities and youth empowerment.

Etsugaie also urged students to recognise their role as critical stakeholders in shaping the political future of society, encouraging them to remain active and responsible in the democratic process.

“Credible leadership and good governance are essential for development, growth and stability in any society. It requires the collective participation of the people,” he said.

He added that the aspiration of Ndarani SAN is driven by a vision to bring transformative leadership to Niger South, calling on students to support the project.
