Approved Private Secondary Schools (2020 – 2023)
In a major move to streamline educational standards, the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) and the Federal Ministry of Education have released updated registries of private secondary schools cleared for operation.
The data, covering the 2020–2023 approval cycle, highlights a rigorous verification process aimed at curbing the rise of substandard learning centers across the federation.
According to official records, dozens of institutions successfully met the stringent criteria for establishment, including infrastructure safety, teacher quality, and curriculum alignment. In Lagos alone, over 70 schools were recently added to the state’s database of verified institutions, granting them full government recognition and eligibility to host external examinations such as WAEC and NECO.
