NNPC CEO Ojulari Receives Fellowship from UK Energy Institute

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Limited) has achieved a global milestone as its Group Chief Executive Officer, Bayo Ojulari, was awarded the Fellowship of the Energy Institute, United Kingdom, one of the highest honours in the international energy sector.

The Fellowship, conferred during International Energy Week in London, recognises senior energy leaders who have made sustained contributions to advancing the sector. NNPC stated that the award acknowledges Ojulari’s role in strengthening corporate governance, operational efficiency, and strategic global partnerships.

The Energy Institute’s President, Andy Brown, praised Ojulari’s leadership in transforming NNPC Limited into a performance-driven, investment-ready organisation, aligning it with global best practices in governance, sustainability, and energy transition.

The recognition comes amid ongoing federal reforms to boost oil and gas production, expand gas utilisation, and enhance the commercial viability of NNPC Limited. The Fellowship is seen as a mark of growing international confidence in Nigeria’s energy sector and its leadership.

“Under Ojulari, NNPC Limited continues to deliver sustainable value, strengthen Nigeria’s energy security, and position itself as a trusted global energy partner,” the statement said.
