The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Abdulrahman Mohammed, has announced that the party will soon unveil a timetable for outstanding congresses in several states, a move aimed at ensuring a smooth national convention.

Mohammed made the disclosure during a meeting of the PDP Board of Trustees in Abuja, noting that the committee had deliberately waited for the festive season to end before embarking on decisive actions. He said the caretaker leadership is now fully focused on restoring internal order and repositioning the party.

He referenced a declaratory judgment by the Federal High Court in Ibadan, which he said affirmed the authority of the caretaker committee. According to him, the ruling provides a clear legal foundation for completing delayed congresses and organising a credible national convention.

Mohammed expressed appreciation to members of the Board of Trustees for their support and acknowledged the backing of the FCT Minister, whom he described as a key leader within the party. He reaffirmed the PDP’s national spread, legacy, and organisational strength, warning stakeholders against complacency.
