Senior figures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State have intensified efforts to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, pledging overwhelming backing in the next general election.

Former Senate Leader and the party’s governorship candidate in the last election, Teslim Folarin, led the charge alongside other party leaders during a series of unity rallies held across Ibadan. Speakers at the events said internal disagreements within the party had been resolved, paving the way for collective action ahead of future elections.

Party elders stressed the importance of unity and early mobilisation, noting that sustained engagement at the grassroots would be crucial to electoral success. They also highlighted the need for effective communication of the administration’s reform agenda to build public understanding and support.

Addressing supporters, Folarin described the rallies as part of a broader strategy to strengthen party structures, restore confidence among members and lay a disciplined foundation for future campaigns. He said Oyo State had previously demonstrated its political relevance and was prepared to exceed past electoral performances.

Other party leaders, including former state officials, lawmakers and aspirants, echoed similar sentiments, insisting that the APC in Oyo State was united and focused on securing victory at both state and national levels.

The Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, commended the peaceful conduct of the rallies, emphasising that reconciliation, unity and continuous voter engagement would determine the party’s success rather than last-minute political activities.
