Former Plateau State governor and senator, Jonah Jang, has rejected claims that he called on Governor Caleb Mutfwang to resign following his reported defection from one political party to another.

In a statement released through his media aide in Jos, Jang described the reports circulating in sections of the media as inaccurate and misleading, insisting that his comments were taken out of context.
