Tinubu Congratulates Former NPA Managing Director Hadiza Bala-Usman at 50
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm birthday wishes to former Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority and current Special Adviser on Policy Coordination and Head of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit, Hadiza Bala-Usman, as she marks her 50th birthday.
In a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Tinubu described Bala-Usman as a committed public servant whose career reflects dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering service to national development.
The President noted that her close to three decades in public service offer valuable lessons in discipline, professionalism, and purpose-driven leadership. He recalled her early years at the Bureau of Public Enterprises, where she demonstrated strong insight into economic reforms and institutional restructuring.
Tinubu highlighted her leadership roles at the Abuja Enterprise Agency and the Nigerian Ports Authority as defining moments marked by improved accountability, higher standards, and institutional reforms. He also praised her contributions to party organisation and internal capacity building within the All Progressives Congress.
In her current role, the President said Bala-Usman continues to distinguish herself through clear thinking, discipline, and a results-oriented approach that supports the delivery of the administration’s governance agenda.
He wished her continued strength, good health, and wisdom, expressing hope that she would remain a source of inspiration to women, young people, and emerging leaders across the country.
