Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has dismissed reports suggesting he could replace Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, describing the claims as baseless speculation.

Speaking to reporters, the Italian coach said the rumours had no impact on him, stressing that his focus remains firmly on his role at Chelsea. He noted that he is under contract until 2029 and has no interest in entertaining external distractions.

Maresca acknowledged his previous working relationship with Guardiola but insisted that such links should not be misinterpreted. He said similar speculation had followed him in the past and described it as part of modern football discourse.

Chelsea, currently in the top four of the Premier League, are preparing for a difficult away fixture against Newcastle United, which Maresca said was his immediate priority.
