2Baba Arrested in London After Airport Clash With Wife

Former managers of Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, have confirmed that the singer was arrested in London after an altercation with his wife, Natasha Osawaru, during a recent trip to the United Kingdom.

The couple had travelled to London ahead of a scheduled concert on October 2, 2025, a show 2Baba ultimately failed to attend — a development that immediately sparked speculation about a possible arrest. At the time, he dismissed the rumours, attributing his absence to a medical emergency.

However, during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze on Monday, former manager Kaka Igbokwe said the arrest did in fact occur. According to him, he was on the same flight as the couple and witnessed the disagreement that escalated when they arrived in London.

Kaka, son of the late music legend Christy Essien-Igbokwe, said the confrontation began when fans approached 2Baba after they disembarked. The singer followed them into a shop, and Natasha reportedly became upset, believing she had been left behind. He explained that when 2Baba noticed her reaction, he attempted to return, but the situation quickly intensified, drawing police attention and resulting in his arrest.

Another former manager, Lori Tosan, who also appeared on the livestream, backed Kaka’s account. He said the altercation at the airport was consistent with other incidents he claimed to have witnessed between the couple, describing repeated “outbursts” and “moments of rage.” He alleged that police had nearly been called during a previous encounter at an apartment.

According to Lori, the intensity of the confrontation in London was alarming. He described Natasha’s reaction as “pure rage, from zero to 1000,” warning that such behaviour constituted a red flag. He added that they tried to calm her to prevent police intervention “a second time.” He also referenced 2Baba’s song “Save Me From Myself,” claiming the artiste often expresses personal struggles through his music.

The Instagram Live session briefly escalated when 2Baba himself joined and warned his former managers to stop discussing his private issues publicly.

The incident resurfaced online after blogger Tosin Silverdam reposted a video on December 1, 2025, appearing to show police officers speaking with the singer outside a store before escorting him away. Another blogger, Cutie Julls, earlier shared a clip showing officers questioning him at what appeared to be Gatwick Airport.

The controversy first surfaced in October when 2Baba missed his UK concert. At the time, he issued a video apology insisting that he had not been arrested, stating:

“We had a medical emergency, it was tough… If una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This ‘allegedly’, I don tire.”

Despite his earlier denial, the confirmations from his former managers have renewed public discussion surrounding the incident, even as the singer continues to urge the public and his associates to respect his privacy.
