Pelé’s iconic brand has been acquired by NR Sports, the company owned by Neymar Santos Sr., father of Neymar Jr. The announcement was made at the Pelé Museum in Santos, Brazil, a city closely tied to the late football legend.

Neymar Sr. described the acquisition as a milestone, emphasizing the strength of the brand and his intention to modernize and expand its identity. While the financial details remain confidential, Brazilian media reported the deal to be worth around $18 million, with the rights purchased from US-based Sport 10.

Pelé, born Edson Arantes do Nascimento, is celebrated as one of the greatest footballers of all time, having led Brazil to three World Cup victories in 1958, 1962, and 1970. His daughter Flavia attended the ceremony, expressing deep emotion at seeing the brand return to Brazilian ownership, calling it “the soul, humanity, love.”

NR Sports described the acquisition as a “repatriation” of one of the greatest symbols in global sport, pledging to preserve and enrich Pelé’s legacy as the “King of Football.”
