Hilal Takaful Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of Cornerstone Insurance Plc, has announced the appointment of Mr. Hassan Olanrewaju as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

According to the company, the decision reflects its commitment to expanding ethical insurance options, strengthening innovation, and improving service delivery to participants.

Olanrewaju, a chartered insurance professional with more than 20 years of industry experience, has held leadership roles at Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, Great Nigeria Insurance Plc, Law Union & Rock Insurance Plc, and the former Oceanic Insurance Group. His background spans technical operations, business development, and strategic management.

The Board expressed confidence in his capacity to deepen Hilal Takaful’s footprint in the country’s growing Takaful insurance market, noting that his leadership is expected to drive greater impact and operational excellence.

Responding to the appointment, Olanrewaju said he looks forward to working with the team to enhance service delivery, strengthen the organisation’s offerings, and uphold the ethical principles at the heart of its operations.

Hilal Takaful Nigeria Limited, formerly known as Cornerstone Takaful Nigeria Limited, was the first composite Takaful window operator in the country after receiving regulatory approval in 2010.
