BREAKING: Buhari’s Remains Arrive Katsina Airport
The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari have arrived at the Umar Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina State.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led the federal delegation to receive the late leader’s body, which was transported aboard a presidential aircraft.
Also present at the airport were governors, ministers, members of the National Assembly, and other top government functionaries.
The body was flown in from London, where the former president passed away on Sunday at the age of 82.
The brief reception ceremony at the airport marks the beginning of the formal state burial process. From the airport, the body will be transported to Daura, Buhari’s hometown, for funeral prayers (Jana’iza) and interment.
Further details about the burial arrangements and dignitaries expected at the ceremony will be provided as the event progresses.
