Hon. Egbe Stephen Chinoso, a former House of Assembly aspirant for the Ishielu South constituency and the Special Assistant to the Ishielu Local Government Chairman on Youth Mobilization, has publicly praised Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for the impressive advancements made during his administration over the past two years.

In a press briefing held in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State, Mr. Egbe underscored several notable achievements of Governor Nwifuru’s administration, highlighting the significant progress across various sectors that have positively impacted residents throughout the state.

“There is no doubt that Governor Nwifuru has made significant contributions to the development of Ebonyi State,” Mr. Egbe remarked. “His administration has prioritized road infrastructure, benefiting all thirteen local government areas and fostering peace in formerly crisis-ridden communities.”

Among the commendable initiatives he noted, Mr. Egbe specifically praised the provision of duplexes for traditional rulers in the state and the construction of a 2.5-kilometer concrete pavement road connecting various communities. These efforts have significantly enhanced accessibility and connectivity among local populations.

Further emphasizing the governor’s dedication to the youth, Mr. Egbe spoke about the commitment to job creation, showcasing projects such as the Ebonyi Industrial City Clusters, which aim to empower young individuals through industrialization and economic opportunities.

“The state governor has indeed excelled in sectors such as commerce and industry, power and energy, solid minerals, and capital city development,” he stated, reinforcing the multifaceted approach of Nwifuru’s governance.

He also highlighted the development of a 170-unit residential estate for the residents of Izzo and Ameze Autonomous Community, noting that construction work is already completed and awaiting commissioning.

In addition, Mr. Egbe mentioned a significant infrastructure project: the construction of a 22-kilometer road connecting Ezillo to Iyonu and Ezzagu to Enugu, which was notorious as a death trap and hideout for criminals. This initiative is expected to improve security and accessibility for residents in the area.

Mr. Egbe specifically commended the governor’s prompt payment of gratuities to retired civil servants dating from 1996 to 2021, underscoring the administration’s commitment to honoring public service contributions.

He further revealed that over five hundred medical doctors have been employed, along with substantial salary increments to 500,000 naira, reflecting a commitment to enhancing healthcare services in the state.

Hon. Egbe urged stakeholders and citizens alike to support the governor’s initiatives, stressing that continued collaboration is essential for the sustained growth and development of Ebonyi State.

As the state looks forward to further advancements under Nwifuru’s leadership, Mr. Egbe’s endorsement of the governor’s achievements serves as a testament to the positive direction in which Ebonyi State is headed.
