Police Ensure Security for Peaceful Eid-El-Fitr Celebrations as Federal Government Declares Public Holiday
The Niger state command of Nigeria police force(NPF) has reiterated its readiness to provide adequate security across the state for a peaceful Sallah celebration which prompted federal government to declared Monday 31 st march, and Tuesday 1st April 2025 as public holiday as part of the celebration.
Against this development ,the commissioner of police in Niger state,cp Adamu Abdullahi Eleman mnips ,has directed HODs,Area commanders,intelligence units and DPOs to adopt proactiveness through intelligence led policing in order to get raid of blackspots within their area of jurisdiction.
Cp Eleman who had just assumed office following his deployment to Niger state to replaced the immediate past commissioner of police cp shawulu Ebenezer Danmmaman who was promoted to the rank of AIG also directed officers to mobilise operational assets such as Anti riot water cannons ,gun trucks,patrol vehicles and ensure deployment of police personnel for visibility policing,show of force and dominate public places for water tight security arrangements before,during and after festivities.
Also,cp Adamu Eleman according a statement by the command public relation officer ( PPRO) SP wasiu Abiodun ,further directed all the tactical commanders in the state to ensure sufficient deployment of tactical teams such as police mobile force( Mpf), counter terrorism unit( CTU)Explosive ordinance Disposal chemical Biological Radiogical and Nuclear( EOD- ISRAN) Tactical support team( TST) and Anti kidnapping unit( AKU) of the command to Eid praying ground, recreational centers,motor parks Amusement park and other public places.
