Niger Police Commissioner Presents Over 51 Million Naira in Cheques to 30 Families of Deceased

The commissioner of police Niger state command,cp shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman ,has on Thursday 13 th march,2025 presented cheques worth over fifty one million naira to thirty families and next of kins of the deceased personnel who lost their lives in the line of duties under the command within the year 2023

Cp Danmamman while presenting the cheques on behalf of IGP to the beneficiaries families and next of kins at the command headquarters Minna said the cheques amounting to the sum of fifty one million, five hundred and thirty nine thousand,six hundred and twenty one naira forty five kobo( #51,539,621,45 kobo only) said emanated from the welfare schemes of the force which according to him included Group Life Assurance,Group personnel Accident and IGP family welfare schemes.

The commissioner disclosed that the police force welfare package was aimed to ameliorate and reduce the suffering of the deceased families as well as to show compassion and love from IGP to the next of kins and families of the fallen personnel.

Cp Danmamman who earlier acknowledged that the police job is hazardous, risky and humanity centred however affirmed that the job was designed to serve humanity despite these challenges noting that the loss of one is a loss to all.

He therefore admonished the affected families of the deceased personnel who died in their lines of their duty not to see the demise of their bread winner as a lost to them alone but a lost to entire nation especially the command which they serve and left behind which they equally felt unhappy over their loss as they also share the feeling and pains.

He further enjoined the deceased families to make judious use of the money given to them as he offered prayer that the token shall be like muster seed that when sow on the fertile soil shall grew better for the use of the families
