DESOPADE Commissioner Olisa Inspects Ongoing Projects In Ndokwa East LGA, Delta State

The Commissioner representing Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality on the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Dr. Charles Olisa, has conducted a comprehensive inspection of ongoing projects in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State.

The inspection focused on various development initiatives aimed at improving the living standards of the people in the region.

Notable among the ongoing projects is the modern market construction at Aboh, which has reached an advanced stage. Dr. Olisa also inspected the newly completed Police Station in Aboh, confirming that the facility is ready for commissioning.

Accompanied by CSP Victor Ikewun, Barr. Julius Ezimadu, and other key officials, Dr. Olisa expressed the commitment of DESOPADEC to delivering meaningful projects that will transform Ndokwa Nation.

He assured the people that these efforts align with the Delta State Government’s “More Agenda” under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori.

A number of projects have either been completed or are set to commence soon, with several aimed at improving both infrastructure and educational facilities across the region.

Some of the completed Projects included, Solar street lights in Ashaka, Aboh, and Agwetiti (Agweiyom), the completed Police Station at Aboh, now ready for commissioning.

Dr. Olisa added that upcoming Projects by the commission in the area include, Ogbe Agidigbo Street Road, Phase 1 construction set to begin soon at Aboh, Ossissa Road, resurfacing and rehabilitation work to commence soon at Ossissa, Assembly Hall to be constructed at Oduga Primary School, Ushie.

Others are, school renovations at Atokwu Primary School (Agwetiti) and Beneku Primary School (Umu Edem Beneku), Furniture Supplies for schools in the mandate areas, Civic Centers Planned for construction in various locations, Police Station at Okpai, Ongoing work to be facilitated to completion, NYSC Corpers Lodge to be constructed at Akarai Obodo, and Teacher’s Quarters to be constructed at Okpai, as requested by the Okpai Development Union.

Dr. Olisa reaffirmed his commitment to delivering these projects, stating that 2025 would be a year of harvest for Ndokwa East, with many projects completed and handed over to the communities.

He encouraged the people to continue supporting the government of Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, emphasizing that the development initiatives are crucial to uplifting the region’s living standards.

The inspection tour was met with appreciation from the local communities, who expressed their gratitude for the ongoing development efforts in Ndokwa East.
