Gov Mohammed Reunites 3 Abducted Bauchi Children Recovered In Anambra With Their Parents

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state on Wednesday handed over three children who were stolen but recovered in Anambra state, to their respective parents.

The Governor who was visibly delighted over the recovery and reuniting of the innocent children with their parents, regretted that they were stolen from Bauchi and sold in Anambra.

According to the Governor, the children were rescued through the diligent collaboration of the Bauchi and Anambra State Police Commands, supported by the Office of the First Lady and the Gender-Based Violence Committee.

The Governor commended the Commissioner Bauchi state Police command, Auwal Musa Muhammad for leading the war against criminality and crimes in the state.

He equally applauded the unwavering commitment of the First Ladies of Bauchi and Anambra States in addressing child trafficking and abuse.

He assured that his government will remain steadfast in its resolve to combat heinous crimes.

The Governor therefore, enjoined parents to remain vigilant and prioritize the proper upbringing of their children.

He called on the community leaders to play an active role in supervising and protecting their communities, saying that by doing so, Justice will prevail, and the perpetrators of such despicable acts will face the full force of the law.

Bala Mohammed further called for collective efforts and unity towards the protection of the most vulnerable members of the society, particularly the children.
