Ebonyi Gov’s Wife, Nwifuru Enrols 250 Elderly Citizens Into Health Insurance Scheme

The wife of Ebonyi state Governor, Chief Mrs Maudline Uzomaka Ogbonna Nwifuru, has taken a significant step towards improving the health and well-being of the elderly citizens in the Ebonyi state.

Mrs Nwifuru enrolled 250 elderly individuals into a health insurance scheme aimed at providing them with access to quality healthcare services.

The enrollment took place at the Women Development center in Abakaliki, where Mrs Nwifuru was representing Mrs Tinubu at the event. During the event, 50 million naira was disbursed as empowerment funds to support the elderly citizens in Ebonyi.

Speaking at the event, Mrs Nwifuru emphasized the importance of ensuring that the elderly population in the state has access to healthcare services.

She highlighted the challenges faced by many elderly individuals in accessing affordable and quality healthcare and expressed her commitment to improving their overall well-being.

The enrollment of 250 elderly citizens into the health insurance scheme is a significant step towards fulfilling Mrs Nwifuru’s goal of providing better healthcare services to the elderly population in Ebonyi state.

It is hoped that this initiative will help improve the health outcomes and quality of life for the elderly individuals who are now enrolled in the scheme.
