Tinubu dismisses NMDPRA Chief, appoints Rabiu Umar pending Senate approval

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has relieved Mr. Saidu Mohammed of his position as Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).

The announcement was made in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, presidential spokesman, on Wednesday.

Onanuga revealed that Rabiu Abdullahi Umar, a seasoned executive with over 25 years in the energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors, will take over.

His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.

Umar, a graduate of Accounting from Bayero University and an alumnus of Harvard Business School, brings a strong track record in strategic leadership and large-scale project delivery.
