King Charles, Queen Camilla Receive Tinubu at Windsor
King Charles III and Queen Camilla on Wednesday formally received President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu at Windsor Castle.
The reception formed part of Nigeria’s state visit to the United Kingdom, with the President accorded full ceremonial honours, including a 42-gun salute by the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery as both British and Nigerian flags lined the streets of Windsor.
The visiting delegation was presented to members of the Royal Family, including Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales.
“King Charles and Queen Camilla officially received President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu at Windsor Castle. They were presented to the Royal Family by Prince William and Princess Catherine of Wales.
“They were treated to a 42-gun salute by the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery.”
The two-day visit is expected to deepen bilateral relations, with discussions aimed at securing new partnerships and memoranda of understanding between both countries.
A state banquet is scheduled to hold at St George’s Hall, with the King, Queen, and senior members of the Royal Family in attendance.
