Uche Nwosu Reaffirms APC Loyalty, Quashes Defection Speculation
Uche Nwosu, former governorship candidate in Imo State, has publicly dismissed reports of his alleged defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), reaffirming his allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During the APC’s ongoing electronic membership registration in Eziama Obaire, Nkwerre Local Government Area, Nwosu stressed that he remains a founding and committed member of the party. “I will not abandon the party I helped establish. There is no plan to join another political platform,” he said.
He also confirmed that former Imo Governor Rochas Okorocha and other members of the Rescue Mission political group remain firmly within the APC fold. Nwosu urged party members and supporters to actively participate in registration and grassroots mobilisation, stressing the importance of civic engagement in shaping Nigeria’s political future.
The event drew local party executives, traditional rulers, ward leaders, and community stakeholders from surrounding areas, highlighting widespread support for the APC at the grassroots level.
