Super Eagles Retain 38th Spot in Latest FIFA Men’s World Ranking

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have maintained their 38th position in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings.

The updated rankings, released on Monday, show that Nigeria retained the same standing as in November, having accumulated 1,502 points. The unchanged position reflects the absence of competitive international matches since the previous ranking update.

Among African teams, Nigeria currently trails Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria. Morocco remains the continent’s highest-ranked side at 11th globally, followed by Senegal in 19th place. Algeria and Egypt occupy the 34th and 35th positions respectively, with Nigeria close behind in 38th place.

Other African nations within the continent’s top 10 include Tunisia (41st), Côte d’Ivoire (42nd), Mali (53rd), DR Congo (56th), and Cameroon (57th).

At the global level, Spain continues to lead the rankings after reclaiming the top spot from Argentina earlier in the year. France sits third, completing the podium, while England, Brazil, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Croatia make up the remainder of the top 10, with no changes from the previous update.
