Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has expressed calmness over his team’s recent dip in form, insisting he remains “completely relaxed” as the Blues prepare to face Everton at home.

Chelsea had impressed in late November, defeating Barcelona 3-0 in the Champions League and securing a 1-1 draw against Premier League leaders Arsenal. However, the team has since struggled, losing to Leeds and Atalanta and drawing with Bournemouth.

Despite the setbacks, Maresca was named Premier League Manager of the Month for November, in recognition of Chelsea’s unbeaten run during that period. Speaking at a press conference, he remarked: “For us November was fantastic. December didn’t start the way we wanted, but it’s just three games in one week. We are now focused on the next one.”

Chelsea currently sit fifth in the Premier League, eight points behind Arsenal. Maresca emphasized that such fluctuations are normal in football and that consistency is the next step for his young squad.

He explained: “It’s impossible to maintain the same level all season. We need to learn from this and avoid similar situations in the future.”

The Italian coach confirmed that forward Cole Palmer should be available for the Everton clash after missing the defeat to Atalanta.
