Edo Assembly Summons 2Baba’s Wife Over Viral Video

The Edo State House of Assembly on Tuesday called on Hon. Natasha Irobosa, representative of Egor Constituency, to appear before its Ethics and Privileges Committee within one week to respond to allegations of misconduct.

Speaker Blessing Agbebaku said the lawmaker’s recent online conduct has brought the Assembly’s reputation into question. He stressed that members are expected to uphold high standards, adding that the committee will submit its findings within two weeks.

“The behaviour displayed by Hon. Natasha Irobosa has attracted negative attention on social media and television, casting the House in a poor light,” Agbebaku noted.

The summons follows the circulation of a viral video capturing a heated exchange between Irobosa and her husband, music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba. The footage, which emerged during an Instagram Live session hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze, showed the couple in a tense confrontation, drawing widespread public attention.

Fans and industry observers have expressed concern over the singer’s personal life amid the viral clips. The incident comes shortly after footage surfaced of 2Baba being escorted by police in the United Kingdom, further fueling speculation about ongoing personal and marital challenges.

The relationship between 2Baba and Natasha became public earlier this year, following his divorce from Annie Macaulay. The couple later formalized their union with a private traditional wedding ceremony in Abuja in July.

Supporters and social media users have called for calm and urged the couple to resolve their differences privately, highlighting the impact of the videos on the public perception of both the Assembly and the celebrity family.
