Theo Hernández Nears Al Hilal Switch in €25 Million Deal
French international Theo Hernández is close to sealing a move to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal after a final agreement was reached between the Middle Eastern side and AC Milan. The deal, reported by well-known transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, is valued at €25 million and is expected to be completed in the coming days.
Hernández is set to sign his contract imminently, having agreed to personal terms after a verbal agreement was initially struck two weeks ago. His move will see him join a growing list of top European players heading to the Saudi Pro League and will make him a key part of the squad managed by Italian coach Simone Inzaghi.
Romano confirmed the details in a post on Monday, indicating that AC Milan will receive the full €25 million transfer fee and that Hernández will soon complete all remaining formalities.
The left-back has been a crucial figure at Milan since arriving from Real Madrid in 2019. His attacking flair and defensive contributions helped the Rossoneri win the Serie A title during the 2021/22 campaign, and he has since become one of Europe’s most consistent full-backs.
His departure marks a significant change for Milan as they reshape their defence ahead of the new season. Al Hilal, on the other hand, will hope his arrival adds depth and quality to their backline as they continue building a team capable of dominating both domestically and internationally.
