Tinubu Rejects GAC Meeting Over Failure To Reinstate Obasa as Speaker, Demands Immediate Compliance

The ongoing political crisis in the Lagos State House of Assembly took a dramatic twist as President Bola Tinubu reportedly refused to meet with members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) over their inability to enforce his directive to reinstate impeached Speaker Mudashiru Obasa.

Sources familiar with the situation told Peoples Gazette that the GAC delegation, which had traveled to Abuja to update Tinubu on the impasse surrounding Obasa’s reinstatement, was left waiting for hours before being informed that the president had no interest in meeting with them.

Tinubu reportedly canceled the meeting after learning that the council had failed to reach a resolution on his directive, insisting that the Lagos Assembly lawmakers reinstate Obasa without delay.

“He told them to return and execute his order immediately,” a source revealed.
