He spoke at his country home, Ohigbo Amagu, Ezza South LGA of the State, when he played host to the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ebonyi State Council led by its Chairman, Comrade Nwafor Samson.

Eze noted that the Media should desist from feeding the public with information that could trigger hatred against the government or any section of the country, criticize objectively and sensitize the public against crimes and criminalities.

“Don’t allow infiltrators to rundown the industry. You people have a critical role to play in the peace and development of this nation and even in the fight against the Hydra-headed monster called insecurity.

“You people have a major role to play. You have to sensitize the public, because it’s the information you feed the masses with, that they believe more…if you feed them with right or wrong information, they go with it.

“Don’t feed the people with information that will trigger hatred against the government. Criticize objectively. When you do that, you are already contributing to the national development and collectively, we will move this country forward”, Eze said.

He disclosed that the Media industry in the Country is witnessing some key interventions from the Federal government through the efforts of the Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation and further assured that his Committee is committed to ensuring a total overhaul of the country’s Media Industry.

“Through our efforts, the Federal government has started many interventions in the Media sector.

“Though, I’m a Civil Engineer but today, I am the Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation through God’s design. And since I took up this role, I have developed a great passion for the Media industry and I’m determined to work towards ensuring adequate intervention in the industry,”he promised.

Eze urged Nigerians to be positive about the Country and have hope with the renewed hope agenda of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, saying, the problem of this country did not just start today, it has accumulated overtime and the present government is only trying to solve the numerous problems.

“Let everybody be positive about this country. Let everybody have hope with the renewed hope agenda of President Ahmed Tinubu. Let everybody have hope with the policies of this government and with the cooperation of the Media, we will get there.

“The problem of this country did not just start today, it has accumulated overtime. The present government is only trying to solve the numerous problems. And to solve the numerous problems, you have to do things differently from the way it’s being done before. That’s what you are witnessing today through the transformation and reformation agenda of Mr President.

“We only need to give time for these policies to be fully implemented and you begin to witness the benefits. The government of the day have good intentions. They don’t want the masses to suffer and at the end of the day, we will appreciate the ongoing transformation.

“We need to do things differently to achieve a different result, else, the country will remain where we are; and it will get to a point the country will totally collapse.

“You can see the fuel subsidy he removed, result is being achieved positively, and you can see the fuel price now gradually coming down.
