President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the recruitment of over 98,000 grassroots campaigners in Ondo State ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The Ondo State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Victor Olabimtan, disclosed that the plan involves engaging 25 individuals across each of the state’s 3,933 polling units to drive voter mobilisation.

The recruits are expected to persuade at least five voters each in support of the President’s re-election bid.

“The President has directed that in each polling unit, we should recruit 25 canvassers. These individuals will be remunerated three months before and two months after the election, and payments will be made directly to them.

“The work of winning elections is at the polling units, not at the ward, state or national level. The target is for each of the 25 canvassers per unit to mobilise at least five voters.

“When multiplied across the state and nationwide, victory is assured. President Tinubu and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa will fund the remuneration.”

He explained that the initiative is aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement and improving communication of government policies.

“The RHA is a nationwide initiative aimed at educating Nigerians about the Federal Government’s reforms and opportunities under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The programme seeks to enhance public awareness of ongoing interventions and ensure that citizens are well informed about available opportunities,” he said.

Olabimtan added that the group would work closely with party structures across the state to support mobilisation efforts.
