A senior Kano State official has called on the deputy governor to step down following political differences arising from recent party realignments in the state.

The commissioner argued that effective governance depends on loyalty, trust, and shared political direction, warning that continued participation in executive decision-making without alignment undermines confidentiality and cohesion within government.
