FCMB Group Projects ₦58.8 Billion Profit in Q4 2025, Eyes Strong Finish

FCMB Group Plc has released its earnings and cash flow forecast for the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2025, projecting a robust profit after tax of ₦58.82 billion. The group anticipates gross earnings of ₦265.2 billion, driven primarily by interest income of ₦231.8 billion. After accounting for interest expenses of ₦116.08 billion, net interest income is expected to reach ₦115.76 billion.

Additional revenue streams include ₦3.72 billion from foreign exchange earnings, ₦4.38 billion from securities trading, and ₦20.43 billion in transaction commissions. Net operating income is forecasted at ₦149.12 billion, with loan losses estimated at ₦14.12 billion and operating expenses at ₦69.13 billion. This positions the group for a profit before tax of ₦65.87 billion, with a projected tax charge of ₦7.05 billion.

On the cash flow front, FCMB expects to generate ₦109.08 billion from operating activities, following adjustments for working capital and taxes. Financing activities are forecasted to result in a net outflow of ₦1.82 billion, while investing activities are expected to contribute ₦71.32 billion. The group anticipates a net increase in cash and cash equivalents of ₦178.57 billion, bringing its quarter-end cash position to ₦852.91 billion, up from ₦674.34 billion at the start of the quarter.

The forecast underscores FCMB’s confidence in its operational resilience and strategic positioning as it closes out the financial year.
