Fidson Healthcare Plc has announced plans to invest $50 million over the next three years in a strategic expansion of its operations. The funding, expected to come through a mix of equity and debt, will support efforts to increase production capacity, upgrade facilities, and explore new international markets.

The outgoing Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Fidelis Ayebae, made this known during the company’s 2025 Distributors’ Award ceremony. He noted that the capital injection is designed to position the company for long-term growth and competitiveness under a new leadership era.

According to Ayebae, the move aligns with Nigeria’s national goal to meet at least 70 percent of local pharmaceutical demand through domestic manufacturing. He also lauded the federal government’s recent fiscal incentives, such as import duty waivers on pharmaceutical raw materials, saying they offer crucial support for local industry players.

During the award ceremony, Fidson recognized top distributors for their contributions across different regions of the country as part of efforts to strengthen its supply chain and retail performance in preparation for the planned expansion.
