CBN Governor Strengthens Nigeria-Saudi Arabia Economic Cooperation

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has emphasized its dedication to boosting economic ties with Saudi Arabia, according to a recent statement
CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso, during a visit from Saudi Arabian Ambassador Faisal bin Ibrahim Alghamdi, highlighted the importance of partnerships driving economic growth and deepening bilateral relations.
“We are committed to advancing partnerships that will strengthen economic ties between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, exploring opportunities beneficial to both nations,” Cardoso stated.

Cardoso also thanked Saudi Arabia for its hospitality during the AIUla event, hosted by the Saudi Ministry of Finance and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Regional Office in Riyadh.
Ambassador Alghamdi expressed gratitude for the reception and reiterated Saudi Arabia’s interest in enhancing economic cooperation.
“We aim to strengthen our relationship with Nigeria and seek mutually beneficial opportunities contributing to the prosperity of both countries,” Alghamdi stated.
The visit signifies another step in Nigeria-Saudi relations, leveraging mutual strengths for long-term economic stability and growth.
