Ivo Council Chairman, AJah Applauds Gov. Nwifuru For Sponsorship Of 204 Students To Study Abroad

The Chairman of Ivo Local Government Area, Chief Ajah Emmanuel Ogbonna, has commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for sponsoring 204 Ebonyi students to study at United Kingdom on scholarship scheme.

Chief Ajah made this statement in an interview with journalists after the departure of the students at Chuba Okadigbo International Airport in Abakaliki.

The council chairman noted that over twenty students from Ivo were among the beneficiaries of this scholarship program.

He praised Governor Nwifuru for his dedication to the educational development of Ebonyi State and lauded him for being a leader with remarkable capacity and prowess in governance.

The council boss who described the initiative as unprecedented in the state and in Nigeria as a whole, emphasized Governor Nwifuru’s trailblazing efforts in the human capital development sector.

He called on the scholarship recipients to seize this opportunity to excel and bring pride to Ebonyi State during their studies in the United Kingdom.

“The announcement of Governor Nwifuru’s sponsorship of the 204 students to the UK has been welcomed with enthusiasm and appreciation by the residents of Ivo Local Government Area.

“The Chairman’s commendation reflects the sentiment of many who see this initiative as a significant step towards enhancing educational opportunities for the youth of Ebonyi State.

The beneficiaries of the scholarship program has earlier expressed gratitude for the opportunity and have pledged to represent Ebonyi State with excellence during their studies abroad.
