Tinubu In Enugu For A State Visit, To Commission Different Landmark Projects

The President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed is to pay an official visit to Enugu State today, where he is expected to commission CIG Ends Year 2024 In Grand Style With A Superlative Gig

It was a night to remember for all the attendees at the maiden edition of the end of the year shindig, organised by the Creative Industry Group to reward and appreciate committed members who have contributed immensely towards the growth of the creative group. Leading the pack of those honoured at the party was CIG’s Projects and Events Director Hon. Diva Obukome Ibru, who was honoured for her immeasurable contribution to the group since inception.

The star studded end of the year shindig had in attendance; media gurus and creative industry top guns like actor Kalu Ikeagwu, singer Righteousman and wife, Chief Ann Njemanze, Kunle Onime, media impresario Azu Arinze, Legendary Soji Omotayo, Mr Tosin – MD ATS Show, Olorogun Gloria Ibru, Elvina Ibru, top Nollywood actors, OAP’s and creative industry personalities.

The performance turbine was ignited by Lady Zara and her Exquisite band who serenaded the audience to her Afro-juju gospel medley, to set the stage for CIG dance-centric rising stars.

Other up and coming acts like G3 Ogiji, Blaqsoulphyl, Prophet Franklin, One More Nite, Bob Rolex, SuperDon, Chet Marj, Vanasse Ekee, Diva Jodia, Swaggu, Pjay and Amed O, spiced up the night with their grilling performances

Another outstanding performance was from Gloria Ibru, who took the guests on a rollercoaster of the Carribean experience with her songs. She was backed up singer Stanley and wife, who also had a splendid performance to make the night memorable.
Ace comedian Alarm Blow, was on hand to tickle the guests with his jokes

The high-points of the celebration was the introduction of the CIG Anthem, the CIG 2024 Documentary which highlighted all the activities of the group throughout the year and the recognition in honour of CIG Director of Projects and Events, Hon. Diva Obukome Ibru.

Diva Ibru was supported by friends and family as she mounted the podium to receive the award. Her entourage included: Olorogun Gloria Ibru, Chief Anne Njemanze, Elvina Ibru, ACP. Vera Ameh, CSP Charity Enebeli, CSP Uduak Edet, Mrs Ochei Imanche, Mr AB. Ibiang, Mr. ND Okpani, Mr. Jude Bidokwo and Mrs. Winnie Bossey among others

The CIG Service Reward segment of the event had gift packs presented to legend Manny Eke aka Music Chef, Head CIG Music Sector, Legend Kunle Adediji, Head CIG Media, Diva DJ FARO, most outstanding female Judge CIG Flash or Lash show, Legend Shedrach John, most outstanding male Judge, CIG Flash or Lash show, Queen Jairo and Diva DJ Maureen who also received gift packs for their consistent input as CIG OAPs.

The chief hosts of the event Amb Felix Duke, CIG President and his amiable wife Lady Capriz, could not hide their excitement as they thanked everyone for their individual and collective roles in lifting CIG to it’s current status, urging all to take their various inputs in the group to the next level as we step into year 2025.
Amb Felix Duke also reiterated the need for all CIG members to be duely registered so that they can benefit from some of the welfare packages put in place for bonafide members no one knows what tomorrow holds.

The epoch making event took place at the Duke- Duchess Hotel and Suites located at the Abule Egba area of Lagos State.

On ground to cover the event were prominent boadcaster AIT’s Music Plus,ATS Show up which airs on AIT, CIG blog and City Express blog among many other media outfits. landmark projects by the governor Peter Mba.

According to the Governor, “I’m delighted to share that His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will pay a state visit to our beloved state today during which he will commission some of the transformative projects we’ve executed.

“From the 30 completed and equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools out of the 260 under construction in the wards across our state, to the 60 completed Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of the 260 under construction. These initiatives reflect our commitment to quality education and accessible healthcare for all.

The completed multi-auditorium Enugu International Conference Centre, 90 urban roads, and our state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre with 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras are repositioning our state as a hub of progress, safety, and opportunity.

The President’s visit will be a milestone for us; a testament to our shared vision that is taking shape. We are excited to welcome Mr President to Enugu State.
