Nigerians, particularly the youth, have been urged by a Christian faith-based group known as United Christian Youths Progressive Forum (UCYPF) to play active role in the process of making Nigeria achieve the needed positive change to reshape the country to a better perspective.

President of the Forum, Joniga Edward made this call while interacting with newsmen at Bishara Baptist Church, Bauchi yesterday.

While congratulating Christians for a successful Christmas celebration and Nigerians for witnessing the first day of the year 2025, Edward called for collective effort in the process of change required in the society.

Edward who pointed out that without collective effort, the desired positive change in Nigeria will not take place, decried that times are hard with things increasingly becoming difficult to afford.

According to him, “all hands must be on deck to contribute and make the desired change in the society. That is the only sure way to get out the present pitiable situation.”

Edward further described life as a circle of contribution which requires that all have to contribute for a better society.

“Whatever you are enjoying today, is someone else’s contribution. Whatever you are lacking today, is because someone who supposed to contribute didn’t”, he said

Edward stressed that every person on earth is expected to Contribute to make the world a better place, noting that instead of complaining, people should contribute.

“Instead of destructive criticism, contribute. When we do this, the society would be a better place to leave. We will all be happy to interact with each other and savour a peaceful atmosphere”, he emphasized.

Edward assured that the NGO will continue to be engaged in Christian Youths mobilization for a better society, as according to him, the youth are expected to be role models.
