Tinubu Appoints Eight New Permanent Secretaries to Strengthen Federal Civil Service
President Bola Tinubu has appointed eight new permanent secretaries to fill current and upcoming vacancies across various states and geopolitical zones within the federal civil service.
The appointments were made based on recommendations from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation after a thorough and competitive selection process, according to a statement issued by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, on Monday evening.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries are as follows: Onwusoro Ihemelandu from Abia State; Ndiomu Philip from Bayelsa State; Anuma Nlia from Ebonyi State; Ogbodo Nnam from Enugu State; Kalba Usman from Gombe State; Usman Aminu from Kebbi State; Oyekunle Nwakuso from Rivers State; and Nadungu Gagare from Kaduna State.
This is the second round of permanent secretaries appointed by President Tinubu, following the initial batch announced in June, which included representatives from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, and other regions.
President Tinubu has called on the new appointees to demonstrate steadfast commitment, professionalism, and innovative approaches in their responsibilities to the nation.
