Tinubu Appoints Former Atiku Spokesperson as Media Adviser

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign, as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications (State House).

Additionally, Tinubu appointed three others as directors-general of various agencies. This was revealed in a statement signed by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, titled ‘President Tinubu Appoints Three Directors-General And One Special Adviser On Public Communication.’

The appointees are Mr. Olawale Olopade as Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Dr. Abisoye Fagade as Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, Dr. Adebowale Adedokun as Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, and Daniel Bwala as Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications (State House).

The Presidency described Bwala as “a lawyer and notable public affairs analyst.”

Olopade, the new Director-General of the National Sports Commission, is a seasoned sports administrator with extensive experience. He previously served as commissioner of youth and sports in Ogun state and chaired the local organizing committee of the 2024 National Sports Festival.

Dr. Abisoye Fagade, the new Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, is a marketing communication professional and the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions.

Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, the new head of the Bureau of Public Procurement, was previously the director of Research/Training and Strategic Planning at the bureau.

“The President enjoins the newly appointed officers to discharge their duties with dedication, patriotism, and excellence,” the statement read.
